DEKLO Night Splint

The DEKLO Night Splint was developed for splinting the Plantar Fasciitis foot. The Plantar Fascia normally relaxes at night under the pressure of bedding. This causes the tendon to shorten at night only to be re-injured the next morning(from there the early morning pain). By stretching the PF at night, this shortening is prohibited and healing takes place much quicker. This part of therapy is non-negotiable. The DEKLO night splint :
- Is comfortable to wear with a good compliance
- Is soft and comfortable to the sleeping partner!
- Is adjustable.
- Does not hyperflex the toes, but supports metatarsal area.
Other Indications: 1)Post-op dropfoot due to peroneus damage. 2) Post achilles repair 3) Long term drop foot prevention in comatose patient(Excellent for heel nursing and pressure sore control). |
